CONCACAF is the Confederation of North, Central America and Caribbean Association Football. It is the governing body for soccer (football) in the region that includes North America, Central America, and the Caribbean.
CONCACAF is one of six continental confederations recognized by FIFA (Fédération Internationale de Football Association), the international governing body for soccer.
CONCACAF organizes and oversees various soccer competitions and tournaments in its region, including the CONCACAF Gold Cup, the premier national team competition for countries in North and Central America and the Caribbean. It also organizes the qualification process for teams from the region to participate in the FIFA World Cup.
The organization’s headquarters is located in Miami, Florida, and it serves as the umbrella organization for the national soccer federations and associations within its jurisdiction, working to promote and develop the sport of soccer in the CONCACAF region.
