eFootball PES 2021 Season Update: All We Know

With Konami shipping the last patch for eFootball PES 2020, it’s time to look forward to the next iteration of our favorite football simulation game. eFootball PES 2021 Season Update is going to be essentially an update to the current eFootball PES, with new rosters, as well a few tweaks and additions.

With the COVID-19 pandemic, we were beginning to worry that there might not be an eFootball PES 2021, but we’re all glad that eFootball PES 2020 is releasing September 15, 2020.

There have been a few rumors circulating online that Konami may ditch its in-house Fox Engine for Unreal Engine 5, as PES 2020 Mobile already runs on Unreal. UE 5 was recently demoed running on PS5 and it looks amazing. eFootball PES 2021 will not use UE 5, but there are reports that eFootball PES 2022 has been in development for the last 3 years and is built from the ground up for next-gen hardware.

In this year’s eFootball PES, we expect Konami to add a few licenses and continue to press on with their strategy. For example, eFootball PES 2020 added the Italian Serie A and B, and the Brazilian 2nd division to their growing roster of licenses. Last year, with the inclusion of Juventus as a partner club, Konami took the rights away from FIFA, with Juventus being the only team not licensed in FIFA 20.

New Managers

myClub is the most competitive game mode on eFootball PES. Throughout the season, you collect and train players, play against other players online and compete for the number 1 place as the best PES player in the world.

eFootball PES 2021 restarts the myClub season and will reset all progress made in PES 2020 or any earlier versions.

This is a great opportunity to start fresh and build your dream team. Konami added a variety of new ways for us to earn GP, gold coins, and players in this year’s version of myClub.
